Experiential / experience marketing is a strategy that focus on creating memorable experiences for customers which can be immersive or interactive in some way so that the customer can engage (play) with it. Contrast to traditional advertising it aim to create memories and emotional connection with the brand and its products.

Company can create either real-world experiences or digital experiences (web based, VR, AR, …).

In the world where companies need to differentiate their products and services, creating a memorable experiences for their users (customers) can really help the brand stand out and connect with the customer.

Why to create an experiential marketing strategy?

There are numerous reasons why to create memorable experiences for your customers, however if differentiation aspect is not enough, there reasons probably will:

  • Remember your product or your brand: Let your customers explore and have fun, and they will remember how you make them feel and foster better relationships.
  • People like talking about interesting new things they explore and experience with their friends and colleagues (Positive word-of-mouth).
  • Much higher engagement compared to static advertisement lead to higher brand awareness.
  • Better understand your product or services: Let’s say you create a VR immersive experience showcasing your solution in practice in places you would never be able to go to (from abstract concepts to seeing how the product actually looks like and work).
