Hosting or Web hosting is a process of storing data for your website. In terms of hosting of virtual tour, we also need to store the data of the virtual tour somewhere. Virtual tour data output usually consists of the 360° images (or image tiles), other multimedia content, and, of course, code scripts, which put the virtual tour together.
Offline virtual tour can be stored in internal storage (on your mobile phone, tablet, computer, or VR device) and needs only a 360° viewer. But online virtual tours need to be stored on a specific storage space (server) so that other computers can load the data on their side from the server. In most cases, web virtual tours are stored within the company’s web hosting.
This way, it is easy to store the data and make it accessible to other users online.
