Difference between a classic 360° photography and aerial 360° photography is that aerial photo is taken in the air. With that said, its easy to imagine how the image works … but why it is beneficial?

Well, most of the time cant imagine how does something looks like from the different prospective (from the hight for example) and that is why they want to create an aerial photos or even a 360° aerial photos (which let the user see how the environment looks like in a 360° view).

To capture any aerial photo you need to have a drone or really tall stative (ex. 10m tall). But most of the aerial photos which you will see are captured by drone.

A 360° photo in the air can be captured by a 360° camera or camera rig with numerous lenses attached to the drone. With the second option stitching process is needed to align the images from different lenses together to create a seamless 360° immersive view.
