Google Business Profile (shortly GBP or formerly known as Google My Business) is a profile which works as a listing of business online on Google. Google allows companies this way to manage their online presence on Google Search or Google Maps. Companies provides information about their business such as name, business hours, location, photos, contact details and much more and its all store on the Google Business profile.
Why it is beneficial to use this free platform for business use:
- Doesn’t cost anything (free tool) and provides free traffic.
- Can help your customers find you better and receive basic information about your business.
- Boost your Local SEO (good profile will improve a business’s visibility in local search result, potentially appearing in the “Map Pack” (a group of top local businesses).
- Direct contact information (Google Business Profile can include options for online booking, reservations, ordering, and requests for quotes, making it easier for customers to reach out.
- Owner of the GBP can see the performance of the profile and small insights about their customers (however is not that great as Google Analytics of course).
Big benefit of this platform is the possibility to add your 360° photos and Virtual tours to your GBP, so that your potential visitors can explore your space even before booking.
